So many a pretty rubies
These twinkle with priceless lustre
Yet I blink and breed contempt
For such their beauty,lacks content
They be no jewel; they be stars
See;
Tongues can only talk of tastes known
Eyes can only stare on things worth
A heart must dance to the golden song
And a fallen me;
Floored by the sun of the incandescent moon
How her smile lights the dawn
She flames though wet the spirits
She sets new songs on torn hearts
She sets torn on newly hearted songs
She's the one they say to be born soon
She's stolen the future wait
Woe to the lovers yet to see light
The precious little grass in this mowed lawn
I have sighted of a jewel among stars
~ for kavata, a friend,a jewel.
