I WAIT FOR A DROP.

I wait for a drop
Of the promises made
Of better education and health
Of a developed nation
Mushroomed with industrialization

I wait for a drop
Of the treasures from above
This poverty to avert
Very hard I always work
To achieve my wealth

I wait for a drop
Of this much awaited knowledge
To fill my empty brains
The books to put assignments
And the quality needed by corporates

I wait for a drop
Of clearance of a myriad cases
Lying in our legal systems
Justice be the the usual practice

 I wait for a drop
Of healing of bitter wounds
Fueled by the scourge of tribalism
A nation it has divided
Ma hope is quick recovery

I wait for a drop
The drop of sufficient rain
To hit this dry terrain
This land below to reign
The anguish of hunger and pain
To forever and ever feign.

I wait for this essential drop
That will cure all the ills
The promises meet it will
All our sorrow will be joy
As the misery disappear mysteriously
And our patience turn to success
The drop I anxiously wait
Is the drop of love.
